Write your first line of code at National Coding Week events

We’re encouraging adults to try their hand at coding between 18-23 September.

As the number of jobs in the digital tech sector grows each year (it grew 50% faster than the wider economy in 2015*), learning to code is an excellent way to future proof your career.

At a series of free events in Edinburgh and Glasgow, we’ll be giving adults a chance to write some code and discover some new careers in tech.

Lunchtime sessions

Running between 12.30pm and 1.30pm, we’ll split the hour into short segments where you’ll get a chance to write some code and find out how your career could benefit from learning a new skill.

Codebar Edinburgh

Codebar workshops offer a chance to learn programming in a safe and supportive environment at your own pace. Usually restricted to women and minority groups, this special session is open to anyone who registers.

Can’t make it along?

Even if you can’t make it along to one of the above events, we have other ways you can find out about whether coding is for you.
